Single mom opens thrift store with a title loan

Monday, May 4th, 2009

I just opened my very first business. I have opened a thrift store. It’s an eco-friendly thrift store where we actually take the clothing that we would usually send to the next good will and up-cycle it into amazing clothing.

I have had no means to start a business. I had nothing for electric, water, or even my business license. So I went and got a title loan so I could the $300 I need to start the business in order to start selling.

This was such a great thing for me. I went to my local lender and took out a $300 title loan. I showed them the clear car title, proof of employment, and of course they appraised the car and Oila I had the money I needed to start my business.

I paid the loan back in the first week and hopefully single mom will have money problems no more.

Single mom opening a thrift store

Monday, April 20th, 2009

I am opening up my own business. I am opening up a thrift clothing boutique. I can bring my 1 year old, get donations for 100% profit, and hopefully find direction and something solid in my life.

I can’t think of a name yet, but I have put the electric, water, and business license in my name. For someone who doesn’t have any money this is pretty scary, and I don’t want to fall back on title loans again to just get by.

With the recession I feel this is a full proof plan to get cheap items to everyone that are fun and funky. This could actually work.

Wish me luck!

Title loans for Easter money for the Easter Bunny

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

The Easter Bunny came to our house by the skin of his teeth. Luckily mommy went and cashed in for a few dollars to make sure dinner and the basket were on the table.

Title loans have been my way of managing for a time now. I have been going to my local Georgia lender (Because I am in Florida and they do not offer them.) Anyways I just get $500 and they give it to me and I do what I need to do and when I get paid on the first I return the money.

So far it has been great!

This is my favorite Easter Bunny Picture–

Title Loans for a single mom

My state does not offer title loans. But, I have found a way to get one in a different state.

I live in Tallahassee and Georgia is pretty close by. If you go to a website that will direct you to a Georgia title loan lender you can fill out the application online and then drive your car to the nearest lender. Once you get there you can have up to $10,000 in 15 minutes.

This is not just the case for Georgia and Florida you can do this in any state from Texas to Delaware…

If you need fast cash title loans are a great way to get your needs met, and if you are in a state that does not offer them you are now in the loop.

All you need is:

* a valid drivers license
* proof of employment
* Car with a valid drivers license.

Single Mom 15 minute freedom

Sunday, March 8th, 2009

My daughter and I were going to the beach and all of a sudden the car started to shake. Thank goodness I had been through this before as I recognized it as a flat tire. I immediatly pulled over.

Unlucky for me my resources are tapped out. I have no one left to borrow from and no money left on my credit cards. But, I do have AAA which everyone should have…what a savior. Also, unlucky for me is I has 2 flat tires.

So I had them tow my car to my local title loan lender and they actually gave me a loan there in less that 30 minutes for the amount I needed to tow the car and get 4 new tires.

Thanks goodness there was an option out there!

Single moms work from home

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

Now I know why mothers become babysitters. It’s so much easier to watch someone else’s kid than to try and find a babysitter for your own.

I just recently started to watch a little girl at night while her mother works at a restaurant. I make a little extra money and the little girl is sleeping most of the time.

It really is easy cash, and easy on being a mom. Now I can spend time with my daughter and help another mother out, instead of scrambling to find someone to help me out.

Word to the wise, if you are struggling with money, and finding a babysitter, and you are a single mom this could be the answer for you.

What city are you in?

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

Title loans can be useful in a time of need. There is no need to be ashamed or listen to the slander against title loan companies if you are a responsible borrower. If you have a plan to pay back the loan, and you have a job there is no reason that you are not a candidate for a title loan.

Title loans are loans where the title of the car is used for collateral for a loan. These loans have very quick turn around time, and the lender does not care if you have bad credit. You just need a valid drivers liscence, a clear title, an estimate of the car (provided by the lender), and proof of employment and you can get up to half of the Kelly Blue Book value of the car.

It doesn’t matter what city you are in. There are Title loan lenders in every city waiting for you to fill out an application online and come downto the office in your area. This title loan website, Cash 4 You is great because it actually is a directory for the U.S. cities. You can go there and then click on the link for the city you are in and it will direct you to the website for your area.

Check it out you can get a title loan from $300 to $10,000 in 15 minutes. Goood Luck whatever city you are in.

Super, single, and slutty? the story of my own stimulus package (get it?)

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

Much has happened since the last blog. I decided that I would try and be an exotic dancer. What was thinking? It’s funny that being a mom is the one thing that finally turned me to doing things I would otherwise consider disappointing, but hey times are tough and money isn’t exactly growing on trees at the moment. The government is just genetically modifying it with stimulus plans and making more like they do with all of our food.

So I tell my big shot friend who invited me over for dinner that I couldn’t make it because I was taking a gamble at the “booby trap.” He told me he would pay $500 for me to dance for him. So all day I tried to talk my self into it. Channeling Mary Magdaline, and Forest Gumps mom’s who had to play unfair to get their kids what they needed. By the end of the day I was exausted but had finally convinced myself that this was a good idea.

I put on the sluttiest, yet cutest outfit I could think of and proceeded to show up to my friends house. I brought my dog for safety (He is a shitz-u mix.) I come 2 hours late (because I was so nervous) and the dinner he made was cold on the stove and since I hadn’t had a meal in 5 days I pretty much devoured it. Now I will never know if he was kidding or not but he led me to believe that he never thought I would actually do it and he didn’t want me being a stripper and he wanted me to hang inthere because I was better than that.

THANK GOD HE DID, because at that moment I stepped outside of myself and thought what the hell am I doing? I am sure at some point he regretted saying this and p[robably should have got his $500 lap dance (which he said was an escort price, I beg to differ since I am a rockin dancer) But I guess we will never know because he was a gentlemen and I was a hot mess.

So if you are desperate for money don’t be a stripper, get a title loan =)

Getting paid on time, loan on a dime

Monday, January 19th, 2009

I am working on a big painting job. I have 24 doors to paint at $40 a door (I robbed myself). It sounds likeĀ  a lot of money but it is really peanuts for the work. I guess I am starting my own business and I am learning what not to do. Always get a deposit up front.

For some reason I though I would be done in a week. Of course I didn’t expect to get sick either. I have been sick for 2 weeks and made the mistake of not getting a deposit. The peopl are going out of town and I havent finished the job.

What did I do? I got a title loan. I worked with the lender to get the specifications that I needed to pay it back when I get paid and I am home free. It really worked for me. Now if I can throw in a couple upgrades on the job I can pay for the interest.

Title loans really can work.
